This curated collection brings together some of our favourite bird studies, drawn from across British coast and country — from the wading birds and shoreline flocks of East Anglia to the sea birds and hawks found in the Scottish Highlands. Recurring subjects surface throughout — geese overhead, owls at dusk, curlews and oystercatchers picking their way along the tideline. Featured artists include printmaker Lisa Hooper, working from her studio in southwest Scotland; Andrew Waddington, known for his watercolour vignettes; and Carry Akroyd, who illustrates the ‘Bird of the Month’ column for The Oldie.
