Suzanne Cooper

Suzanne Cooper (1916–1992) was a British artist who gained early recognition in the 1930s while studying at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art, exhibiting her oil paintings and wood engravings in leading West End galleries. With the outbreak of World War II, she gave up her artistic career to work as a nurse and raise a family. Rediscovered in 2018, her work has been compared to that of Christopher Wood and Eric Ravilious.
