Peter Samuelson

Peter Samuelson (1912–1996) was a British painter, draughtsman, and writer born in Salisbury. Educated at Eton College and the New York School of Fine and Applied Arts in Paris, he drew inspiration for his work from the guests of the boarding houses he managed during the 1950s. After abandoning art in the 1960s, his work was rediscovered in the late 1980s, leading to several retrospectives before his death.
