Norbertine Bresslern-Roth (1891–1978) was an Austrian artist celebrated for her striking paintings and linocut prints of animals. Born in Graz, her artistic talent was recognised early and later refined through studies with Hans von Hayek in Dachau and Ferdinand Schmutzer at the Vienna Academy of Art. She began exhibiting with the Viennese Secessionists in 1911 and became widely regarded as one of the foremost animal artists of the 20th century.
