Ernest W. Watson

Ernest William Watson (1884–1969) was an American artist, author, and educator. After graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1906, he earned a teaching degree at Pratt Institute, where he taught until 1929. He co-founded the Berkshire Summer School of Art and later became art editor of Scholastic Magazine. Watson also co-founded Watson-Guptill Publishing and American Artist Magazine and authored several influential books on art education.
