Edwin La Dell

Edwin La Dell (1914–1970) was a leading figure in the development of post-war British printmaking. As Head of Printmaking at the Royal College of Art from 1955 to 1970, he transformed what had been a traditional etching department by promoting the concept of artists’ original prints. His work is represented in major collections, including the Royal Academy and the Government Art Collection.
