Edward Bawden

Edward Bawden R.A., C.B.E. (1903–1989) was one of the most influential British graphic designers of the 20th century. A highly versatile artist, he worked as a watercolourist, printmaker, muralist, illustrator, designer, and teacher. Trained at the Royal College of Art, he later served as a war artist during World War II. His commercial design career spanned more than 60 years, and he remains celebrated as a master of the linocut.
