Simon Palmer (born 1956) is a Yorkshire-born artist celebrated as one of Britain’s leading watercolour painters. After graduating from Reigate Art School in 1977, he settled in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, whose landscape has inspired his work for over forty years. His distinctive paintings depict narrow lanes, stone walls, and moorland vistas, transforming the familiar into something visionary. Palmer has exhibited widely, including ten solo London shows and several retrospectives at the Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate.
