Hannah Firmin grew up in a Kent village, the second of six daughters of Peter and Joan Firmin. Her father, a printmaker who co-created Bagpuss, The Clangers, and Ivor the Engine with Oliver Postgate, inspired her early love of art. Trained at Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art, Hannah now creates distinctive hand-printed works using woodcut, linocut, and collage techniques on her 1860 Columbian Press.
