Newell Convers Wyeth (1882–1945), known as N. C. Wyeth, was an American painter and illustrator whose dramatic images for classic adventure stories, including Treasure Island and Robin Hood, helped define the Golden Age of American illustration. Trained by Howard Pyle, he combined vivid colour with powerful storytelling, producing celebrated book illustrations, murals and paintings inspired by the American landscape.
