Charleston
Charleston, an old farmhouse at the foot of the South Downs in England, was the modernist home and studio of some of the 20th century’s most radical artists, writers and thinkers. Known as the Bloomsbury group, they came together to imagine society differently, creating a place where art and experimental thinking were at the centre of everyday life. Today, over 100,000 people visit Charleston every year to enjoy the house, garden, and the world’s largest collection of Bloomsbury art.
